Meet Judy Bird
Judy Bird, owner of Sperry Drilling, grew up watching her father build the business from the ground up. Today, she leads with the same dedication to integrity and community that her parents instilled. Known for her hands-on approach and problem-solving skills, Judy has expanded the company’s services while maintaining its family-like atmosphere.
“We care about our neighbors,” Judy says. “Everyone needs water, and we’re here to make sure it’s clean, safe, and reliable.”
1968
Bernard Sperry founded Sperry Drilling, starting with coal-related drilling jobs and laying the foundation for a family legacy.
1991
Judy Bird, Bernard’s daughter, took over the business, steering it toward water well drilling and expanding services like geothermal systems and water conditioning.
2010s
Sperry Drilling embraced advanced technologies, including constant pressure pumps and UV purification, while maintaining a focus on community service.
2023
After years of service, Jeff’s Quality Pumps retired and entrusted Sperry Drilling to care for his customers, further expanding our reach and expertise.
2020s
Judy’s daughter, son-in-law, and other family members joined the business, ensuring the legacy continues with a commitment to sustainability and excellence.
